The CHEFNEUX name originates from Belgium, where there is a village named Chefneux. My CHEFNEUX family came from Herstal, near Liege, Belgium and in 1894 the parents and their children (including my Grandmother)came to Lancashire because of the father's work as an engineer. As far as I know they were the only Chefneux family to come to England.
