My dad Patrick Joseph Foy was born in Foxford Co Mayo in 1928. He came to Bradford in 1958 where he married my mum Mary Josephine (Maureen) Reddington of Knockmore, Co Mayo.(sadly mum passed away on 1983) In 1960 they moved to Leeds. I have a brother Kevin & 2 sisters, Maura & Bernadette. My dad's brothers & late sister all settled in Leeds & all the families still live locally. My grandparents were Marty & Maggie (Granny Foy) as she was always known. Maggie was born in Runagry in 1901 & her maiden name was Hoban. Sadly in 2005 my dad passed away. I now only have 1 paternal uncle living & am having difficulty in tracing back my ancestors. |
