Find Ancestors

I am trying to locate from where the surname DEVESE originates from, i have been told it could be a French Hugenot name, or even Italian,can find no proof of either. I have found a few still living in the USA, but not relations, can anybody shed light on my unusual surname, any help would be welcome, My grandfather Percy Francis Devese ,is as far back as i can go, he was born in 1913 he had a sister called Edna. Percy married Ada Florence Duke in 1933 they had 2 children David and Barbara, David was my dad, if any one knows of my grandfather Percy ,do they know his mother and Father, i knew them as Cat Pa and Cat ma ,i think Cat Pa 's name was Charles and he had quite a few brothers and sisters possibly 5, i do know that sisters named Rose & Ethel went to America. It is possible that he had 3 bothers named George , Percy, and Peter. Can anyone help, this is all the information i have managed to get in 3 long years, i would really love to know where i come from and who my family is? Surely there are some still living in England.
