My fathers name was Alfred Church born at 19 Pitt street Peckham North, on the 24th Jan. 1911 his mother was Edith Clara Church formaerly Ayling. and his father was John Scammuell church who was born in 1879 and killed in th 1st world war on wednesday the 15th september 1915 at ieper his mum and dad where John Scamuel Church and Esther Alice Church (nee Hornblower) of London. My father told me that when he was a small boy he had lots of cousins living locally. All I know is his brothers and sisters names, but as Scammuell is a rare name, has any one else got it as a second name? |
