I am interested in hearing from anyone descended from the Goffins of Gateshead and South Shields area in South Tyneside. I have learnt that my Great grandmother, Minnie Maria Goffin, was born in Staplehurst, Kent in 1866. Her parents, John and Martha, were from Norfolk and moved around a lot, ending up in County Durham. they had at least 8 children, so there must be many descendants still to trace. Minnie married Simeon Palin and they had eight children, all born in South Shields. I would love to hear from anyone with Goffin connections in Staplehurst, Norfolk or Durham. |
