Are there any other Eldridge-Quick's out there? My paternal grandmother Nora Maria Eldridge married Albert Quick and the family name became Eldridge-Quick. As a consequence my father was born Basil Norman Eldridge-Quick. Albert, went to Calcultta University to do his medical degree, he also fought in the Afghan War as a Medic and I believe earned himself some medals for bravery. My paternal grandparents lived in India before the partition and my father was born in Rawalpindi. There is quite a history I believe of the Quicks in India. The Quicks originated in Cornwall. |
