Whilst my father was known by the name Holloran, i understand that his family name was Halloran and before that it was O'Halloran. His parents were from Killarney and came over to Liverpool at the turn of the last century. I do remember visiting relations in Liverpool when I was about 11 years old. I remember a young girl called Helen. Her father was named Vincent. He was a docker and an ardent Everton supporter. I also remember another female relation who worked for Callard & Bowser. I cannot remember her name but I do remember that she was going out with a great guy who was also a bit of a 'Teddy Boy'. If this rings any bells then please get in touch!! |
