I am looking for Hortons from the Birmingham area relating back to Henry Horton born about 1814 in Kings Norton who married Sarah around 1835. Henry and Sarah had 6 children (in Birmingham probably); William(born about 1835, Elizabeth (born about 1839), Mary (born about 1844), Ann (born about 1846), Sarah (born about 1847) and Caroline (born about 1851) William Horton their son had 6 children with his wife Elizabeth (born about 1846) They married about 1862. William and Elizabeth's children were:- John T Horton (born 23/11/1870/3..my Great Grandfather), Walter (born about 1863), William H (born about 1870), Mary A(born about 1875), Eliza (born about 1876) and Ada A (born about 1879). Again, all these children were born in Birmingham. One of their children, John T Horton married Elizabeth Harriet Darnley 21/5/1899 in St Pauls Church, Birmingham (maybe Balsall Heath or Kings Norton) his eldest son Robert John (Jack) Horton was my Grandfather. If you believe your tree may link into mine I would love to hear from you! My relatives were often involved in metal work if that helps! Yours Hopefully Amanda Punnett nee Horton |
