Sawkins is an unusual surname. My father, Edward Jack Sawkins, has managed to trace back the Sawkins' to the 1500's. Apart from my father there are no male Sawkins' in my immediate family as my grandfather, William Sawkins, died in 1926. I have no Sawkins uncles and no brothers. Rita Baker (née Sawkins)
