John Free, a Farm Agent, had a son, William Free from Cambridge. William was born in 1825ish in Cambridge but moved to Cardiff before 1853. He married Mary New, and their children were, George Alfred Free 1853-1882, Celia Eliza Free 1855-1857, Alice Celia Free 1858 (Who maried Charles James Hawkes and moved to Greenwich), Nimrod William Free 1860-1864, Harriet Judith Free 1862 (Who married David Collett and moved to Birmingham), Sarah Eliza Free 1866 (Who married William Whitney and moved to Llanelly)and Nimrod James Free 1870-1909 ( My Great-grandfather), who married Mary Ann Butler and remained in Cardiff. I hope this is of some help to someone, if it is, get in touch and maybe you'll have something of help to me too. |
