One of family, Charles Bach, is named on Ealing War Memorial (for First World War). He would have been my uncle. This following is anecdotal from what my father told me. I don't know which generations it applies to. Ancestor came from France (Pyrenees area) at some time (possibly via Norfolk) to Ealing. They were once a "well-to-do" family, but an ancestor drank and gambled it all away and jumped off a bridge into the Thames to end it all.
