My Stringer Family originate from West Sussex and we have always favoured the origin of our name as Stringer of Bows. Our family of Stringers originate from the West Sussex area in 1754 and by a single pair of ancestors up to 1830 when my Great Great Grandfather James married a Sarah. They had 7 children. My greatGrandfather John was born in 1830 and died in 1914. He had 12 children, and my grandfather Samuel was born 1n 1867. He married my grandmother Ellen Rebecca Skinner in Thakeham Parish Church in 1892 and moved to Tunbridge Wells soon after. They had 10 children and I have details of most their families up to date Ken Stringer. |
