My name is Margaret Anslow, born in Falkirk 1962, daughter of Thomas & Lillian Hamilton. I'm seeking help in trying to trace any remaining members of my maternal grandmother's family. She was Margaret White born 10th March 1907 to a James & Margaret White (nee Graham) in Warrington, Lancs. I understand from family history that my great grandfather was the the grandson of the Hinton family from Trowbridge, (not far from where I served in the RAF) who's mother was abandoned by her family Lord & Lady Hinton on being deemed to have married beneath her (some time in the mid to late 1800's). Although his sister was later bought back by the family some time later. If anyone has any information regarding this part of my family I'd be very grateful (my grandmother passed away 15th Sept 1986) |
