George Herbert Lambert born 30.07.1896 in Liscard, Birkenhead Cheshire - parents were Jane Elizabeth Lambert nee Richardson and George Lambert. I have trawled through the 1901 census using at least a dozen different ways of searching - mispelt surnames, just initials etc etc etc and cannot find anything. He fought at the battle of the Somme and married Hilda Dobson nee Birkhead in 1920, listed in North Bierley register for Jan-March. He may have been abandoned to a poor house and there are rumours of links to Norfolk. If anyone can help out, I would be extremely grateful. Many thanks. |
