My GOSH but there are a lot of Rowes out there! I'm trying to trace the Rowe family from Wales (Barry, Cardiff). I have the following: Henry (c.1805) was born in Pembrokeshire and married Elizabeth (unknown last name), also c.1805. They had the following children: Henry, c.1827, at Tenby; Thomas, c.1830, at St. Mary's; Mary Ann, c.1831, at St. Mary's; John Webb, 25 December 1835, at Tenby (died in New Zealand); George, c.1841, at Tenby; and, Elizabeth, c.1844, at Tenby. John Webb Rowe married and lived in New Zealand and Australia. Henry (1827) married Mary (maybe HOPE?)(c.1823) from Jamestown, Wales. They had the following children: William H. (c.1853) at Cardiff; John John (c.1854) at Cardiff; Elizabeth (c.1858) at Cardiff; Mary Jane (c.1860) at Cardiff; Sarah Webb (c.1862) at Cardiff; Martha (c.1864) at Cardiff; Benjamin Freeman (1868) at Cardiff; and James (c.1870) at Cardiff. Of those children, Benjamin was my Grandfather and I have that branch of the Tree. I also have a branch for Martha. I am interested in completing the other branches and am also VERY interested in getting further back into the 1700s. |
