Member Since: October 2006 Posts: 0 Send Message	Makin Family in Kansas I am trying to locate American relatives of George Makin born 1842 from Hindley, near Wigan Lancashire. He emigrated with all his descendents to the Mineral/Cherokee area of Kansas on a ship named NEVADA via Liverpool/New York in January 1883. Some names of descendents in the US are the James W Evans/Martha Ellen Makin part of the family who stayed in the USA when some of the family, from whom I amd descended came back to the WIgan area. Other names in the US are descendents of Annie Makin 1877 who married WIlliam Maloney 1868. Thanks.
