Looing for any info on HENRY CLIFTON, born abt 1808-15. Husband of Mary, father of William Clifton,(c. 1837) grandfather of William H. Clifton (c. 1860) and Thomas Hedges Clifton (c. 1862) All from the Hereford, Worcester or Warwickshire counties. I have William (c. 1837) 's Marriage Certificate (to Elizabeth Wilkes) of Oct. 23rd 1858 in which it states his father was Henry Clifton, carpenter. However, I cannot find ANY info on a likely Henry Clifton, either on Ancestry, IGI, or any other online facility (I do not live in the UK so rely on the web) I realise he may have died ........ (I did find one Henry Clifton on the 1841 Worcester Census who had a wife Mary and a 6 month old son Henry, but no mention of William). I do have William and family on the 1871 Census in which a MARY A DAVIS - 'mother' is included in the family. Maybe Mary remarried a Mr. Davis? Or perhaps she was his wife's mother... It would be fantastic if anyone can shed any light on Henry for me. Janet
