i am trying to trace miss pattie longstaffe, born aylesbury, bucks in 1847.she never married but moved to luton (i dont know when) where she ran a hat factory from her own house, i also believe she had her niece and nephew living with her, sidney charles barber (1882) and dorothy longstaffe barber(1883) they had another brother called edgar longstaffe barber (1880) who lodged elsewhere in luton.they were between 18 and 21 years old at the time of the 1901 census.I cannot find a record of patties birth as i think her sister is the mother of my great grand father sidney barber.Any help would be very welcome, thanks, jean i think she married william barber, born1849 from a place called hawner.
