My Grandfather was known as Fredrick Tinker, but might have been called John. He married Elizabth Howe. They had 5 children. John, Mary, Ethel my mum, Marjorie and Fred. They lived in Collyhurst Manchester. Hope its useful.
Good Luck.

Hello, i am a relation of James (above)

Just to clarify my grandma was his mother's sister. She was not called clair betty though. She was called Lucy Elizabeth

Some great confusion as she had been called Betty and "lil Bet" since almost birth so many people struggle to remember her real name.

Also there was another brother called James Tinker but he died in the 2nd world war.

The father of these aforementioned children was James Tinker as above stated. His father was also a James Tinker, born 1849 in Lincolnshire. He married a woman called Elizabeth Easy. Haven't found any manchester ancestors as of yet, but we haven't got far down the line on that side im afraid.
