Born 8-7-1856 in HULL , lived in LONDON,theARGENTINE & B'HAM. MATTHEW HARRY EMBLEY.,was my grandfather of whose family I have only limited knowledge. Born 1856 in Sculcoates,York,he is thought to have been a R.N.Tutor at Portsmouth in the late 1800's and known to have been Superintendant of an Industrial School in Regents Park Rd. London at the turn of the century. He was then appolnted Principal of the first Reform School for Boys in the Argentine(Buenos Aries)returning in 1914 as a Home office Official in the Midlands (B'Ham). He had three sons,George,RN Commander killed 1915, William,RNVR Lieutenant, latterly Captain of Irrawady Steamship(Rangoon to Mandalay)and Maurice, Captain in the Delhi Fire Servce(1930's). His daughter Marjorie was my mother. My grandmothers orig.surname was Coleman. Any details of relatives/family history would be much appreciated.
