Am looking for descendants of Alexander Gordon, born about 1815, at Kyloe in Northumberland, who gave his occupation as shepherd in the I861 census, when he lived at Crookham Eastfield, and in the 1881 census, when he lived at Chatton. My great grandfather, William Gordon, was one of Alexander's sons. He lived in Benwell (Newcastle upon Tyne) between about 1875 and 1925. I am looking for descendants of two of his sons, William and Robert, and his daughters, Jane and Grace, all born in Benwell. I believe William moved down to Kent to live, either Maidstone or Chatham, and was still alive in the 1950s. |
