Trying to find Bunting

I am trying to trace James (or Jeremiah) Bunting, born about 1793 in Swinbrook, Oxfordshire, who married Charlotte Eden on 9/1/1826 at St Marylebone and thereafter lived at 3 Kew Road or Kew Lane, Richmond-upon-Thames. His name appears as James on his marriage certificate but Jeremiah on the 1861 census! James/Jeremiah was described as a footman on his daughter's marriage certificate. He died in Mitchell's Almshouses, Richmond upon Thames, on 26/6/1869. The couple had two children, Mary Ann Bunting (born 1827) who married Robert Sampson Prout in 1852, and Richard Bunting. Charlotte also had an illegitimate son, Frederick Eden, born 1815, who lived with them, and James had an elder brother Charles (born about 1784) who lived next door in Kew Lane/Road. As I now know that the family came originally from Oxfordshire, and are apparently linked to the Asthall Buntings, I'd appreciate any information. Sue Edwins |
