MY MOTHER, SARAH ANNE GORE (NEE GIBBONS) BORN FEB 27/192(?) HAD A MOTHER WHO WAS BEDRIDDEN AND DIED WHEN MY MUM WAS 14YRS OLD. ANYBODY HAVE ANY INFO ON WHO MY MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER WAS? MY MUM MARRIED ROBERT GORE AND HAD 4 KIDS, ME PAULINE, TONY GIBBONS, MICHAEL GORE AND ROBERTA GORE. MUM DIED NOVEMBER /95. MY MUM USED TO TELL ME THAT DURING THE AIR RAIDS MY MUM WOULD PUT A TABLE OVER MY GRAND MUM'S HEAD IN CASE THE GLASS FELL FROM THE WINDOW AND HURT HER AND HOW SHE USED TO LIGHT CIGARRETTES FOR HER MUM. MY MATERNAL GRANDDAD HAD DREY HORSES AND MY MUM USED TO HAVE TO SHINE ALL THE BRASS. MUM HAD ONLY BROTHERS. SHE WORKED IN METAL BOX FACTORY IN NETHERTON, LIVERPOOL. ALSO USED TO WORK AS A BARMAID IN THE EDEN VALE PUB, NETHERTON. ANY INFO ON GORE OR GIBBONS WOULD BE AWESOME!! |
