I am struggling to find info on my father's side of the tree. My Great Grandmother was Annie Holt, born around 1878-1890. She was probably born in North Shields or Tynemouth, North Tyneside. Her mother was also named Annie Holt, but there are no details on a father. Great Gran was married to a Ukrainian, known in this country as William Dixon, born 1878, died 1952. They had two daughters, Rosie, who died age 13, and Ethel Maud (my Gran). Annie worked in service in London as a cook, but returned to the north in later years. Any advice or info gratefully recieved! |
