My name is June Dudley. I am the granddaughter of Thomas Britton (possibly Bratton) and trying to find out some information on his family. My father believes he was from Lurgan in Ireland and one of a big family. When he was a young lad his uncle brought him to work in Glasgow or Edinburgh. He later met and married my grandmother Elizabeth Lightbody. My dad seems to think they both worked on a farm in the Edinburgh. He was born around 1887 and died in Glasgow around 1942. They had four children, Thomas, Katherine, Elizabeth and my father James. Any information on Thomas Britton or family would be great. |
