I am trying to trace anyone who might know anything about my father's mother, MARY MERRICK. My father was privately adopted by Charles Roper THOMAS, a professional man, living in Weymouth ,Dorset I recently found handwritten details of this transaction amongst my late father's papers. My father was born on 12 Dec 1909, in Askew Road, Shepherd's Bush, London. W12, & later christened FRANK MERRICK THOMAS My brother, sister & I were all given Merrick as a family name but never knew why until the written discovery of the private transaction between Miss Mary Merrick & Mr.& Mrs Charles Thomas It is a very long chance I appreciate, but if anyone has any information which might be of interest we would love to hear from you.
