Hello all. My Grandfather Gordon Parr was one of 7 brothers. He lived in Radcliffe, Lancs and fought in WW1. Died before I was born (1960). I believe Grandad's relatives came from the Wavertree area of Liverpool (a lot of Parrs there!) My dad, John Gordon Parr was born in 1928 and attended St Thomas' CE Primary School, Radcliffe then Stand Grammar School. Sadly, his older brother Thomas (married Ethel Dykes) died a few years' ago. They had a daughter, Kathryn, my cousin who also sadly died at the end of the 1980's. If anyone has any information, I'd love to hear from you. |
