I am looking for information on the Scanlon Famely who lived at Newcastle before settling in the Jarrow and Hebburn area of South Tyneside. James Scanlon c1860 and his wife Annie Dunn c.1864 had eight children: Kathrine, Sarah, Mary, James, William, Ralph, Josephine and my grandmother Margaret, born 26/02/1893. The family moved to Jarrow in the late 1800s. James Scanlon died before he was 40 and may have been born in Ireland. |
