I am looking for information on the MULCAHY family. My geat-grandfather was Andrew (also known as Alexander) MULCAHY. He was born in Dublin around 1859. His father died about the time of his birth and his mother, MARGARET ENNIS, gave him into the care of an uncle, James MULCAHY. I believe Margaret remarried, had two daughters and emigrated to Australia. Andrew was raised in Limerick, his uncle was possibly a ship builder. Andrew emigrated to Canada in 1879. He married in Quebec, in 1882, Harriet McIntyre. My great-grandfather never spoke of his family, so any information on MULCAHYS who may (or may not) be related, would be gratefully received! |
