BURTON 1919 Henry (?Mary) Burton ran a small general shop in Norton near Sheffield with a coal yard attached Earlier in 1902 Henry listed his occupation as a farmer. The couple had 4 children. (1.) Lucy, who married a Mr Kitchen or Kitchener, they had 3 children Joe, Lucy & Jack, all lived in Brighouse. (2.) Louie Burton was married but "carried on" with a policeman. (3.) Bertha Burton married a Mr Atach but commited suicide by drowing at Brighouse before 1914.4 children Frank,killed in 1st war.Leonard Lewis born 24/Nov& Mary born 16th Nov. (4) Frank born 1876 married Alice Harriet Hilder at Heathfield Sussex 4 children.Reginald, May, Lily, & Henry. Died 1922 at Brighouse |
