Re: Pearn name My grandfathers name was Barry Pearn and his father was Francis Donald Pearn. We think the family of Francis Pearn lived in Devenport (1901 census). Unconfirmed research shows that Francis had one brother named Richard (age 14 in 1901)two sisters named Kathleen (age 7)and Minnie (aged 4). The Mother of Francis was a widow called Minnie (aged 38) born in Scotland. Barry Pearn's middle name was Denovan, this is the name of a Scottish clan.To confirm that this Francis is in the male line of our family we need to see his birth certificate to check his middle name. If there are any links with you plese let us know.
