Trying to find Parkinson

Hi, This is a long shot, but here goes. My great grandmother was born Elizabeth Parkinson c1900. She died in 1990, and claimed she was 94, but her children seemed to think she was younger than that. Anyway, before she married my great grandfather, she fell pregnant to an American. He may have been a soldier stationed here during the war, as the baby was born c1918. He was named Ernest, and we are assuming that he had the surname Parkinson. Ernest then moved to America. No one know whether he was adopted or moved there with his father. My nanan found out about her half brother from her father. Her mother never told any of her other children about Ernest, and so they only have vague details. They would now like to try and find out what happened to him. If you have any information at all regarding this, please get in touch. Thanks, Emma.
