Am trying to find out about my ancestors.All I know is that Alexander Murdoch married Catherine McLarty and that they are the parents of Anne (1864-1938) Anne married Robert Potts (1849- 1924) in Tarbert, Scotland, 14/06/1882. Their daughter, Isabella (1903-1987) was my great granny. They lived in the Mount Stewart area of Rothesey, Isle of Bute before moveing to Lamlash, Isle of Arran around 1900. There is also a Donald Potts who was a farmer on Bute around 1890. He married Alexander Weir's widow from Dunagoil Farm before moveing to Lubas Farm. I know heis related but don't know how. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I would be very grateful to anyone who can help. |
