Does anyone know what happened to a John Dickinson born 1813 in Flockton, Thornhill, Yorks. He was the son of Matthew Dickinson and they were both stone masons. John married Mary Dixon in 1838 and they had one child Rowland Dickinson in 1841 before Mary died. He married again in 1845 to Jane Brook and they had Edwin, Eliza, & Henry. By 1862 he had moved to Castleford and was a bricklayer. He is shown as a builder on Eliza's marriage certificate. I have no trace of him after 1862. Wondered if he and his family possibly emigrated? |
