I have been trying to find my fathers parents. They are from Ireland, but lived in Birmingham in the 1950's. My father, John Patrick Boland was born in Selly Oak Hospital on 14th February 1951. His birth was then registered (I think at the hospital) on the 10th of April 1951. My father's mother was from Outagh Oonoon, Straide Mayo. Her name is Mary Bridget Boland (nee Dunleavy) She has a brother, Thomas Dunleavy, born in August 1938. His father's name is John Joseph Boland. I do not know where his father originated from. They were registered as living at 141 Brighton Road, Birmingham 12. John Joseph Boland (my father's father) was a driver for City Transport in the sub district of Raddlebarn in County Baraigh of Birmingham. My father's parents went back to Mayo, Ireland when he was three or four to live with her parents and brother. If anyone has any information that could help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you Madeline Boland My home address is: 11 Sweet Chestnut Grove The Rock Telford Shropshire TF3 5DH 01952 274811 (after 6pm) 01952 217434 (work day time) |
