Trying to find any Rooneys in the North-West of England, who's descendants (grandfathers or great-grandfathers) may have been called James or John Rooney, originally from Lanarkshire, Scotland. My grandfather's names was Isaac Rooney (born 1910 - died 1982)from the Bellshill area of Lanarkshire. Please get in touch if you think any of these names may ring a bell.
