Married Hannah (died between 1887 - 1891). 6 children - Annie b1874, Robert W b1879, Joseph b. 1880, Emma b. 1882, Isabella b1884, Margaret b1887. First 3 children born in Fence Houses, (Houghton le Spring) County Durham, last three born in Middlesbrough.
