Member Since: February 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	Name GEORGE ALLINGTON Born WALPOLE, SUFFOLK Date Born 1885 Mother Rachel Barnes Father James Alderton Married 1850 George was a Bricklayer and moved from Walpole Suffolk to Hose/Harby area of Melton Mowbray when he built the Harby to Hose railway tunnel. He married Sarah Smith and had 12 children. His name has also been recorded as ALLERTON/ALDERTON. Any info would be appreciated. Best Wishes Jade
