Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 8 Send Message	I'm looking for any information re; Samson Skinner born in Tiverton, Devon 1797. Samson was married to Mary born 1801 in Tiverton. They had three children Catherine 1825, Ann 1826 & Thomas 1830. Thomas was married to Matilda born 1830 in Tiverton. They had 4 children, Emma 1860, Walter 1862, Sydney 1864, & Arthur. Arthur was married to Alice born in Tiverton 1878. Alice was his 2nd wife. There were 6 chilren of the family, Herbert 1889, Wallace 1890, Mabel 1891, William 1893, Nellie 1897 & Lewis 1887. Lewis was married to Edith Caroline Dumbleton in Exeter . Edith was born in Shipston, Oxon in 1888. The whole family for 4 generations were either Lace makers or tailors. I beleive that Samson born 1797 may have been the child of Samson Skinner born c1777 & Mary both born in Tiverton .Can anybody confirm this or give me any more info; they were my great grandfathers and I would love to know! My grandmother Eva Skinner, daughter of Edith & Lewis, has just celebrated her 97th birthday & is eager to hear any news!!
