Iam looking for information about the family of my maternal grandfather ALBERT GEORGE MANN (1908-1976) I think he was born in Birmingham but know nothing about his parents. He had a brother called Sam and possibly a sister called Leah. Albert and Sam both spent part of their childhood in a childrens home. He married my grandmother Marie Elizabeth McCormack on 26/12/1932 and they lived in Handsworth, Birmingham until about 1935. They then moved to Greenwood Place, Kingstanding, Birmingham where they stayed until their retirement. They had 2 daughters -Doreen (my mum), and Barbara. Alberts brother Sam was married to a lady called Alice and they also stayed in the Birmingham area. I think they had 2 sons called John and Gordon |
