I would love to find out what happened to our great grand Uncle JOSEPH BROMAGE 1863-1934 after he emigrated to AUSTRALIA in 1913. He was born in STOKE BLISS, HEREFORDSHIRE in 1863 son of JOSEPH & ELIZA BROMAGE (nee Baylis) He had 7 brothers and 2 sisters. He served 8 years in the Dragoon Guards then joined the Hereford Police Force - like his brothers - but left after 7 years and became an officer with the NSPCA. He emigrated to AUSTRALIA in 1913 and died in Melbourne, Victoria in 1938. Have a record of this to prove he is our Joseph. UPDATE - 31/04/2004 GOT THE DEATH CERT AND NOW KNOW THERE ARE 2 MORE MARRIAGES AND 2 SONS, JOSEPH bc 1917 AND JACK bc 1919. DO YOU KNOW OF THESE CHILDREN??? Vera Bromage, Mrs, Manchester |
