Trying to find Ash

Beverley Report 1 May 2003 20:59

I am trying to find any information on Joseph Ash, my great grandfather, born around 1881 in Staffordshire area. He had two brothers, Thomas and George, and their father was also Thomas and mother Ann. They moved to Macclesfield sometime between then and 1901, however on Joseph's marriage certificate in 1902 he is showing as ASHNESS. It appears that the whole family also changed their names to ASHNESS around that time. Any info gratefully received.
