Find Ancestors

My mother's maiden name was Merryweather, she was born in Gosforth, Northumberland on 20th December 1911. My grandmother, her mother, was named Mary Ellen Merryweather and lived, I think in the Cramlington, Seaton Sluice, Whitley Bay area of Newcastle. My grandmother had two sisters, Esther (who married Jim Baldwin and lived in Sea View Villas, Cramlington) and Jane Anne. Unfortunately, it was not until after my mothers death in 1971 that I learned she was illigitimate, consequently I have been unable to trace the paternal side of the family. If this jogs any memories, I would be delighted to hear from anyone as I don't even know how old my grandmother was when my mother was born. Around the 1920's grandmother married Bob Johnson and my mother then had three half brothers, Henry, Bob jnr and Clarence.
