Seeking any information on the illegitimate births(ca 1837 Lewisham/Lee/Kent)of Sarah Adams my maternal greatgrandmother and her sister Jane (ca 1840 Lewisham/Kent). I know their mother was Eliza Adams (b 1816-d 1884 Lewisham) but the father given in these childrens subsequent marriage Cert. was respectively given either as William Fuller (Coachman) or William Adams (Coachman). Clearly both cannot be correct. The Mother Eliza married a Widowed Chelsea Pensioner John Palmer (b1805 Hitchin/ Herts-d 1875 Lewisham) in 1841. Before marriage the daughters seemed a bit uncertain whther they were surnamed Adams or Step-Palmer. |
