My grandfather was Bernard Bird born 1907 he was married to Bertha Norris born 1909. Bernards parents were Edward Bird 1862 and Elizabeth Lyford 1862 they married Dec 6th 1885 in Easthamstead Edwards father William Bird and Elizabeths father Henry Lyford, marriage witnessed by a Ellen Bird. Berthas parents married in December 12th 1908 at St Marys the Virgin, Reading. William Henry Norris and Elizabeth Bunce. Williams father George Norris and Elizabeths father Joseph Bunce. My father was an only child and has lost touch with any members of his family since the deaths of his parents. Would love to hear from anyone with any information on the Bird family who were mainly from Reading, Berkshire, Coley area or the Bunce family who also mainly came from Reading.
