Trying to find any relatives of my grandfather, Charles Danvers. According to his army papers he was born April, 1877 in Barnes,Middlesex. His father was Albert(or Herbert)Arthur Danvers and his mother was Sarah. He also had, at least, a younger brother named Herbert. Their last known address was 74 Murrell Street Commercial Road London. There maybe a connection to a family called Sweetman who owned an hotel around 1900 in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. I am unable to find any record of his birth. Additionally, I cannot find any trace of him or his family in the 1881, 1891 or 1901 census returns. (no trace of the address either) Has anyone any ideas? |
