My Mum's maiden name was Peggy Brooke. She was one of six children born to Gertrude and John Charles Brooke. Her siblings were Marjorie,Robert (Bob), Douglas, Gladys Valentine and then my Mum. They grew up and lived in London originally in the Euston Road area and latterly in Edgware. My grandparents had a restaurant which | believe was lost through gambling and they fell on hard times. My Uncle Douglas died quite young and he had two children one called Donald ( I cant remember the daughter's name) and we lost contact. Can anyone help to locate my missing cousins? My uncle I believe had a sweet shop in Edgware and I have a vague recollection of visiting him there once. I also recollect my cousin was a pretty good cricket player. He'd be about 54ish now. |
