I am trying to locate the resting places of my grandmother and grandfather. JAMES PATRICK MURPHY - (my grandad) MARY MCLEAN TUNNEY/ WILLIAMSON born 1910ish (my granny!) JESSIE WILLIAMSON (aunt) MARY WILLIAMSON(aunt) James was my grandfather and lived with Mary around 1930ish in EDINBURGH. He was a lorry driver. Mary lived at Washington Cottages, off the Dalry Rd, Edinburgh. Mary had 3 children - John, Mary & Jessie. I know that John's dad was James, but Mary was previously married to James Williamson. I believe they then moved to Dundee St in Edinburgh which is near the Mcewans brewery site at fountainbridge where Mary worked. If anyone is related to these people or has any information regarding them, please would you get in touch. I would love to hear from you. Kindest regards! Julie-Anne Murphy PS I recently managed to locate the death certificate of my grandfather James. He unfortunately died in a motor accident in 1937, one year after my father was born. I have however, managed to find out who his parents were, Margaret Barber of Forgue, Aberdeen & Patrick Murphy (gasworker - unsure where he was from) and am awaiting their marriage certificate in the post so that I can find out who my great great grandparents were. 19/11/2003 More news! Ive now found out who my gg grandparents were! Still cant find my granny Mary Mclean Tunney though! Dad says he thinks her father was JOCK/ JOHN COOK, who worked for DEVLINS TRAWLING firm in Edinbrugh. Anyone, got any ideas? |
