Trying to find Tunney

Julie-Anne Report 5 May 2003 23:51

Mary McLean Tunney was my grandmother. She was born around 1900 in the Edinburgh area (as far as I am aware). She married James Williamson who was a rubber worker, I presume at the North British Rubber Factory near the Dalry Rd, Edinburgh. James & Mary bore two children, Mary & Jessie, I think around 1926. She then lived with James Patrick Murphy who was a lorry driver (he was also married to Helen Flynn!) I am not sure what happened to Mary's first husband. He possibly relocated to Manchester. Mary & James Murphy lived at washington cottages (caledonian cottages, Edinburgh at this point. They bore one son John who was born in 1836. John is my father. They then moved to the Dundee Rd/pl. If anyone knows of any relation to any of the people mentioned, please contact me as I would love to hear from a relation from my dads side. I have managed to locate much information in the past week regarding James Murphy, and have managed to find out who my great grandparents were. Any help with info about Mary would be greatly appreciated. Kindest regards Julie-Anne Murphy 22.04.03 I have discovered James Patricks' death certificate. He was unfortunately killed in a motor crash while in his lorry. I still cannot locate mary, however I have managed to go back to nearly 1820 on my grandfather's side. Julie-Anne Murphy 300703
