My Grandmother was married to Frederick Wheeler, from Nuremburg, Germany. The family name was changed to Wheeler to stop the sons facing internment in the war. It was originally Schneiderwaler, or something similar. The family lived in the East End. Does this ring any bells with any other Wheelers out there? I would be pleased to hear from anyone originating from this large family. Anne Driscoll |
